New directions become relevant for improving energy technologies, such as: increasing the productivity and quality of production by recycling process gases and/or increasing energy technology indicators through the regeneration and recycling of process gases (TG), the joint use of thermal and chemical potentials of waste TG (afterburning, recovery heat, etc.). There have been studied and developed the modern computer programs on chemical thermodynamics, gas dynamics and specialized programs for describing real technologies to implement these energy-technological measures. The results of the simulation are checked at the appropriate laboratory and bench installations. As a result of the work, there are determined the potential possibilities of the energy saving resources, such as recycling, and/or regeneration of TG (RRTG), and/or afterburning. New technologies for the recovery of the iron powders, calcination of limestone, direct reduction of iron have been created and introduced, and corresponding equipment has been manufactured. Conducting fundamental studies of the processes of a mass exchange in the heterogeneous systems and refinement of calculation programs using the activities of metal and carbon oxides have allowed us to establish the thermodynamic boundaries of the "working capacity" of complex TG in different technologies. Several facilities for the thermophysical and physico-chemical modeling of new technologies have been created at laboratory and bench scale. Realization of the project on RRTG and complete utilization of TG permits: a) in powder metallurgy: to reduce at least twice the unit costs of expensive TGs, which contain hydrogen; c) justify new energy-efficient methods of the direct iron production with minimal specific costs of natural gas due to its replacement by coal; d) introduce energy-saving technologies for burning lime and firing bricks in large industrial furnac5481 Product Description popup.authors Безуглий В.К.
