The research goal was to study the peptide composition of the heart extracts, to investigate destructive and recovery processes after myocardial injury, cartilage and skin when using biologically active substances as well as the state of the arteries, pericardium and porcine aortic valve leaflets during devitalization with low temperatures and ionizing radiation. Basic research methods were as follows: histological, histochemical, biochemical, spectrofluorimetric, gel permeation chromatography, electrocardiography. There was shown the efficiency of the pigs' heart extract when treating an experimental myocardial necrosis. In the model of osteoarthritis in rats, it has been found that the cryopreserved cord blood serum improved the structural and metabolic processes in this pathology. It has been shown that the use of low temperatures in combination with ionizing radiation reduced the immunogenicity of xenogenic arteries, pericardium and aortic valves as well as slows down their biodegradation rate.
