Ion source parameters: anode voltage - 5.6 kV, discharge current 0.8-1.2 mA, power is 5 W, the beam current of singly charged helium ions He+ up to 30 мкA. Quantity of doubly charged helium ions was determined by RBS method. It was found that the ion beam current of the ions He++ is 2.5% from the ions He+ current. Current of doubly charged helium ions He++ about 0.5 мкA is extracted from the Penning ion source at 20 мкA of total beam current.
