The purpose - scientific and methodological support for the development and implementation of legislative innovations of the regulation of credit registers and credit bureaus in Ukraine. Methods of research - method of abstraction; analysis and synthesis; structural and functional; statistical comparisons; methods of synthesis, sampling, peer reviews, extrapolation; historical method. Results: current institutional practice of credit history database (credit registers) was summarized; the features of formation and development of credit bureaus in Ukraine were investigated; the estimation of the potential consequences of legislative innovations in the regulation of credit registers in Ukraine was presented; conclusions and proposals for the development and implementation of legislative innovations of the regulation of credit registers and credit bureaus in Ukraine were grounded. Novelty: consideration of the possible benefits and risks of implemention of new edition of the Law of Ukraine "On amendments to some legislative acts concerning the establishment and maintenance of the Credit Registry of the National Bank of Ukraine." The effectiveness of implementation - the results may be used in the preparation of legislation on the regulation of credit relations in Ukraine, including the implementation of international best practices.
