A series of experiments was performed on the basis of laboratory equipment, where water and fuel oil simultaneously flowed into the discharge chamber at a ratio of 10% to 90%, respectively (according to the customer's conditions). Under the influence of high pressures, the structure of fuel oil becomes uniform. Due to this, the temperature of ignition of the water-fuel oil emulsion decreases, the caloric value of the fuel increases and the completeness of its combustion increases. As a result of the research, the electric discharge regimes have been established, which make it possible to achieve high dispersity (from 1 to 3 ?m) of emulsion and homogeneity. According to preliminary data, electric discharge processing with a specific energy expenditure of 9.375 W/cm3 provides a high degree of dispersion of the water-oil emulsion and stability necessary for the production of fuel emulsion.
