It was established that pathogenesis of hypertension is dependent on its etiology, peculiarities of metabolic processes and neuroendocrine and vegetative balance. It is proved that in adult rats both with hereditary arterial hypertension and with hypercortisolism and water -salt imbalance typical disturbances develop. These disturbances encompass typical alterations in metabolism, hormone and vegetative balance, morpho-functional state of pancreatic insulinocytes, state of nitrogen monoxide local myocardial and pancreatic systems, peculiarities of miocardial remodeling and restructuring of heart "geometry". Besides that etiological factor which causes the disease also contributes to the nature of pathogenic mechanisms of arterial hypertension development and progression. Hereditary form of pathology is characterized with the prevalence of sympathetic part of autonomic nervous system activity, hyperfunction of pancreatic insulinocytes, increase of inducible and neuronal nitric oxide synthase expression in left ventricle of the heart along with hypertrophy and fibrosis of myocardium. Symptomatic hypertension caused by endocrine and water salt imbalance is characterized by low morpho-functional activity of insulinocytes, decreased activity of all isoforms of NOS both in heart and in pancreas , hypertrophy and fibrosis of myocardium was combined with atrophic changes.
