The purpose of the work is an improved production technology mastering of the low cement corundum silicon carbide castable with a brown fused corundum mud additive. The research methods are physic-chemical and physic-mechanical ones. Taking into attention the results of researches, which had been carried out (report about research works № 4.4-552-2015), in PJSC "The URIR NAMED AFTER A.S. BEREZHNOY" the improved production technology of the low cement corundum silicon carbide castable grade of "KKKBC" with the additive of vibromilling brown fused corundum mud produced by PJSC "ZAPOROZHABRAZIV", whose using in the castable composition instead a vibromilling brown fused corundum allows increasing of samples strength (by ~ 30 %), has been mastered. The indicated castable was intended for tests in the furnace lining for aluminum melting of "Cable plant "ENERGOPROM" Co Ltd. The disadvantages at exploitation of the low cement corundum silicon carbide castable grade of "KKKBC" with the vibromilling brown fused corundum mud additive haven't been observed. In PJSC "THE URIR NAMED AFTER A.S. BEREZHNOY" the pilot batch of low cement corundum silicon carbide refractory castable has been manufactured and intended to customer. The work shall be continued in the line of further improvement of production technology of low cement castables, as well as values expanding of their production.
