The purpose of the work is to manufacture, calibrate and supply a pressure sensor for measuring the pulse pressure in a closed volume of water. Based on the analysis of the features of measurement of the pressure pulse in closed volumes with the electric discharge in the liquid, the requirements for the pressure sensors in measuring the pressure pulses, the design and the circuit solution for the waveguide pressure sensor were chosen. A waveguide sensor of the pulsed pressure DTX-1 with a measuring loop is made to investigate the amplitude-frequency characteristics of the electric discharge pressure waves in closed liquid volumes at a hydrostatic pressure of up to 20 MPa and a temperature up to 80 °C. The sensor can be used to study pressure waves with a maximum amplitude value of up to 150 MPa. According to the results of the calibration, the sensitivity of the developed DTX-1 sensor is 28.9 MPa/V.
