Research object: operational safety of nuclear power plants (NPPs) of Ukraine. Research objective: improve approaches to assessment of operational safety and increase effectiveness of NPP safety oversight. Research methods: analytical and mathematical. Research results: collection of data and calculation of safety performance indicators for NPP units, analysis of trends in safety performance indicators and identification of causes in their changes, development of recommendations for the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU) and planning of oversight activity. The results will be used by the SNRIU in NPP safety oversight and adoption of respective regulatory decisions.5481
