Based on the systematization of scientific views is formulated the essence of social capital as an economic category according to educational and professional development. The authors pay attention on the necessity to change requirements of employers for education and professional characteristics of hired workers in innovation economy and provides a detailed analysis of education and professional development in Ukraine. The conditions and factors of social capital, analyzed the role of education in forming skills of social interaction and on the development of labor potential was defined. Scientific and methodical approaches to increase social capital in conditions of transformation employment regard to innovative changes in education and professional development of human resources was proposed.
