The process of the two-stage combustion of low grade fuels was investigated: adding to the waste wood and peat waste engine oil led to a significant reduction of carbon monoxide emissions; heating of the primary and secondary air to 80°С reduced emissions of carbon monoxide in 1,3…1,5 times, while maintaining a stable level of emissions of nitrogen oxides. Developed and investigated new heat source is a heated primary and secondary air. Effect of particle size of the solid fuel at its spherical combustion on the grate to power heat source was investigated. The method of calculating device for burning biofuels and agricultural waste has been developed. Recommendations for the design of low power boiler combustion chambers have been formulated.
