The object of investigation is a process of specialized (profile) preparation of senior pupils to their future professional activity related to the foreign language. The aim of the work is to definetheoretically, to ground scientifically and to test experimentally the objectives and the content of elective courses for profile preparation of senior school students to professional activity related to the foreign language. Research methods: analysis, supervision, conversations, questionnaires, modeling, diagnosing. The scientific novelty and theoretical value of the achieved results are in development and scientific and theoretical ground of content, structure, volume of education, forms and methods of teaching foreign languages for students of 10-11th forms of profile school in general educational establishments by means of elective courses. Practical results consist in preparation of manuscripts on programme of elective courses, a conception of manuals and the manuals of elective courses in English, Spanish, German, French and in development of pedagogical technologies of its use in school. There sultsof the intermediate report: conceptual principle son manual's content of elective courses are exposed in English, German, Spanish and French languages; the selection of educational materials (texts for reading, system of exercises and tasks, illustrative materials, non-text materials) is completed to the thematic modules of manuals' content for elective courses in English, German, Spanish and French languages for students of 10-11 classes of profile school; methodical organization of educational materials is carried out in manuals' content for elective courses in foreign languages; the main theoretical provisions of the Educational Programme of elective courses in foreign languages for senior school of general educational establishments (2015) and the Conception on manuals of elective courses in foreign languages for students 10-11 classes of profile school (2015) are approved; efficiency of separate thematic modules of foreign elective courses is experimentally tested from the educational edition "World Without Borders" in the senior classes of experimental educational establishments of the department; manuals' content of elective courses on results of the thematic modules approbation are corrected; manuscripts of six manuals of elective courses in foreign languages are prepared to edition: "Culture and Art of Great Britain" (English, Polonska T.K.), "English for Business Communication" (English, Pasichnyk О.S.), "Welcome to Ukraine" (English, Alekseienko I.V.), "Country Studies (Spain, Latin America)" (Spanish, Redko V.H. and Bassai O.V.), "German-speaking Countries" (German, Bassai N.P.), "My France" (French, Dolynskyi Ye.V.). for students of 10-11 classes in profile school of general educational establishments; the educational edition "World Without Borders", a collection of fragments of manuals' separate divisions of elective courses in foreign languages, is prepared and published as experimental materials for its use in school practice. The results of testing which are covered in publications of academic staff (23) and on the website of the Institute of Pedagogy (6), in speeches at mass scientific events (10), demonstrate the efficiency of the developed positions in relation to the productive providing for process of teaching foreign languages at profile school. On the topic of research the scientific researchers published the manual of experimental materials "World Without Borders", 17 articles, 5 theses.38 research results obtained in the reporting and previous years are introduced into educational practice of secondary schools and regional institutes of postgraduate pedagogical education of Ukraine.
