The results of the research: the developed technology of selection of children at the stage of initial training for example canoeing, which covers a number of activities at the level of general and youth sports schools and provides organizational, methodological components, testing system, program of training in basic elements of canoeing in groups of general physical training at school level sports, the program selection system of youth sport, criteria and rating scales, the program of gradual specialization of young athletes to participate in sports competitions and to further the transition back to sport. Researched teaching experience to the coaching staff for the implementation of the selection at the initial stage of preparation and motivation of children and parents when choosing a sport, a systematic means of attracting children to the sport; determined the effectiveness of the proposed technology selection.
