The subject of the researchis a multicenter and multicomponent study ofpreconditions, causes, major effective factors and concrete historical circumstances that had resulted in formation and functioning of particular social structures in the Ukrainian society as well as a study of human behavior and perception of historical truth that reflect past events and links them with modernity. The project aims to overcome the present imbalance that exists in historical science dealing with the local social communities of Ukraine of prewar and war periods, thedestiny of a particular individual, study of the behavior and actions of people who find themselves in a foreign country, their existence in the postwar period. Study period is decisive and, in many respects, complicated in life of the Ukrainian people. Since material and social life options create objectively a matrix of social behavior, then the image of a particular local community and its structure are determined by individual life policies and practices of individuals, members of these communities. In this context it is necessary torecreate the complete history of a society and individuals in a situation in which they find themselves. The most importantproject goal is to recreatethe whole body of social practices and experience ofindividual,large or local, communities and the Ukrainian society in the whole. To achieve the main tasks of the project,a comprehensive multidisciplinary approachis applied that involves the study of the abovementioned problem involvingthe methods of justice studies, statistics and mathematics. The result of the theme: preconditions, causes and specific historical circumstances of uprising local social communitiesin Ukrainian societyin pre-war and war period are examined, conditions in which they were formed andexistedarefound; political concepts and legal precepts within which local communitieswere formed and existed within the investigated framework arestudied; life strategies, primarily on survival, actions and doings, social practices of some members of local communities, especially under conditions of war, are traced; the nature of behavioralstereotypes in selected for the study local social communitiesis ascertained. Scientific novelty: preconditions, causes, the main factors of specific historical circumstances and consequences of emergence and existence of specific local communities inthe Ukrainian society formed and evolved in several relatively isolated but linked by the logic of war social environments-under wartime conditions, in the occupied areas of the country, in Germany, in the Soviet rear, and so on - are explored.
