The indexes of energy efficiency of machine tools and the quality indexes of high-speed spindle units with adaptive hydraulic bearings, new technical solutions of designs spindle bearings with special lubrication systems is the subject of research. Increasing the energy efficiency and productivity of machine tools through the development and using of the adaptive hydraulic spindle bearings with the special lubrication systems is the purpose of the work. With the use of the systematic approach the conception and methodological approaches to design of the new and improvement of existing technological equipment in the direction of energy efficiency, which are based on the analysis of energy flows in space and time considering the quality indexes and productivity processing are developed. The results of experimental studies of energy efficiency of high-speed spindle units with hydraulic bearings of the turning group machine-tools are presented. New energy-efficient constructions of radial hydrostatical - hydrodynamic bearings and new schematics solutions of constructions spindle units with special adaptive systems hydraulic lubrication of spindle bearings for cutting machining at speeds of more than 10,000 rpm are developed. The project recommendations for choosing optimal modes of turning that provide increasing of productivity and energy efficiency of processing for the given quality indexes are presented.
