A new type of fast neutron composite detector (patent of Ukraine) with efficiency of ~ 60-70% was developed. A model of interaction of fast neutrons with substance in oxide scintillators was offered. The reaction of inelastic scattering of fast neutrons was found to be the main interaction mechanism in monocrystalline scintillators.
