Research methods: methods of virology, molecular biology, phylogeny and statistics. 'Marker' sequences of virus genomes have been identified, cDNA libraries for subgenomic and genomic viral sequences have been generated. We have carried out the molecular typing of plant virus isolates collected from natural and anthropogenic ecosystems of Ukraine. We have evaluated the epidemic potential of the majority of collected isolates in different ecological conditions, including viruses of wild-growing flora.
