Paton Electric Welding Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The influence of technological parameters of electron beam melting (EBM) on formation of structure of intermetallic alloys of TiAl system was investigated. The technology of EBM of alloys with different content of Nb, W, Mo, Cr and Zr was developed. The possibility of producing alloys of TiAl system with introduction of alloying components W, Mo and Zr of niobium alloy 5VMTs was investigated. The thermal conditions in induction zonal melting of intermetallic of TiAl system were determined using the calculation and experimental methods. The technology was developed combining the induction zonal melting of intermetallic with the following heat treatment in a one process. The structures of intermetallic after zonal recrystallization and the following heat treatment were investigated. The equipment, devices and technology of electron beam welding of intermetallic based on titanium aluminide were developed. The causes for formation of cracks in welded joints in electron beam welding of intermetallic based on titanium aluminide and the methods of struggling against them were investigated.
