The legitimacies of passing of a number of photocatalytic reactions (recovery of metal ions, obtaining molecular hydrogen, gas-phase oxidation of alcohols, reduction of carbon dioxide etc.) with the participation of synthesized nanomaterials were established. New physical-chemical approaches to obtain and stabilization in colloidal solutions and films of high-fluorescent quantum dots of individual and modified semiconductor (zinc oxide, indium and cadmium sulfide etc.) were suggested, the comprehensive study of structural, spectral, photoluminescent and electroluminescent properties of these objects was performed. The impact of various factors on the efficiency of photoluminescence of obtained nanomaterials, as well as the nature of electronic transitions that determine to the emergence photoemission in them were clarified.
