The methods of application of metal nanoparticles in various media, including carbon nanotubes, carbon nanofibers, alumina. Methods provide uniform distribution of the nanoparticles on the support surface without aggregation. The conditions in which there is agglomeration of nanoparticles on different surfaces in the process of heat treatment and catalytic reactions. For example nanofaznyh iron catalysts demonstrated the impact of the media in shaping the active phase for the high-stage reaction of water displacement. Catalysts developed specific surface area and a large volume of micropores are characterized by low activity in the reaction. Found that the most active are characterized by iron nanoparticles deposited on carbon nanotubes, due to the low surface area carrier and the lack of it micropores. The increased activity of catalysts in the reaction of water displacement correlates with a decrease in specific surface area and the decline in micropores. The results point to possible new ways of creating effective industrial catalytic reactions under high water displacement.
