It has been shown that exogenous recombinant hBD-3 enhances cytotoxic effect of antimitotic agents docetaxel and vincristine, but has no effect of the sensitivity of the cells to methotrexate and doxorubicin. Expression of mRNAs of beta- and alpha-defensins hBD-1-4 and HNP1-3 was studied in MCF-7, А431 and А549 cells cultured without cytostatic agents or in the presence of cisplatin, doxorubicine, methotrexate, vincristine at the concentrations of ІС10 and ІС20.
