Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology popup.description2 For the first time in model experiments it was demonstrated the influence of primary tumor on redox state as well on hypoxia dependent of microenvironment of bone marrow (BM) as site of distant metastasis. Expression CXCR4 as a homing protein in BM of the patients with gastric casncer (GC) is associated with appearance of disseminated tumor cells in bone marrow (DTC) and CXCR4-positive BM is a risk factor of unfavorable outcome. For the first time it was shown that activity of matrix metalloproteinase-9 in trombocytes of patients with (GC) is associated with metastasis and availability of DTC in BM. DTCs and high level of pro-inflammatory cytokines in BM of patients with breast cancer (BC) testify the high risk of disease progression. It was proved that microenvironment of BM of patients with BC exerts the stimulating influence on the programme of epithelial-mesenchymal transition of DTC that enlarges their invasiveness and resistant to antitumor agents. Obtained results may be used to correct the antitumor therapy and to improve the prognosis in particular minimal residual disease Product Description popup.authors Бездєнєжних Н.
