Objective: To study the physicochemical properties of new ionic liquids containing gadolinium halides, fluoroborates and fluorosilicate, the development of theoretical background of electrochemical synthesis of borides and silicides of gadolinium. Methods were improved for electrochemical synthesis of disperse powders of borides and silicides of gadolinium from ionic melts. Stable electrolytes for electrodeposition of industrially important compounds were proposed. Optimal conditions were found for cathodic sediment of predefined form (nanoparticles, dispersed powders).
