New coordination polymer [Co3(L)(CH3COO)]n was obtained in reaction with the ligand 5,5'-bis(1-carboxy-2-hydroxyphenyl-5-azo)-N,N'-ethylenebis(salicylimine) (H6L), which exhibit catalytic activity in the oxirane ring opening reaction by reacting of cyclohexeneoxide with water to form 1,2-cyclohexanediol and cyclohexeneoxide in the reaction with phenol to form phenoxycyclohexan-2-ol. It is shown that the coordination polymers [CoCl2(L2)]n and [CoCl2(L3)]n based on bipyridine-type ligands L2 and L3 exhibit low catalytic activity in the condensation reaction of salicylaldehyde with nitromethane (conversion of salicylaldehyde is 5% after 30 hours of the experiment ).
