The purpose of research is the creation of equipment for the intensification of the process of chemical and biological oxidation. Research methods are methods of physical modeling of fluid flow and mass transfer in liquid media; experimental methods using modern means of measuring complex and statistical data. The current state of the problem of water purification with a high content of iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide was analyzed and analytical review of existing methods for removing these compounds in the process of water treatment and wastewater treatment was done. A review of modern devices for the aeration process and structures of various types of aerators was done. The experimental equipment and techniques for the study of the absorption process in liquid media were showed. The analysis of experimental data on the effect of the method of discrete pulse energy input (DPEI) in the oxygen absorption process in liquid media was done.
