In these meanings segments ideological confrontation, patterns of consciousness, explanatory models and assessments of historical events, ideas about their role and the effects of past, present and future has been found. An author presented phenomenon of the “vacuum of legitimate values" which takes place in the Ukrainian society and manifests itself in the absence of a common system of values due to actual co-existence in the public sphere of two or more of valuable matrices. The results make it possible to expand and deepen the study and reinterpretation of many ontological problems.
