Selenophene derivatives were prepared by Gewald reaction in one step with further modification of the molecular structure by acylation of amino group. The capacities of selenophene derivatives as a new selenium precursors for synthesis of semiconductor nanoparticles of AIIBVI type, in particular cadmium selenide, were explored. The application of these compounds in synthesis by method of high-temperature pyrolysis gives fluorescent nanoparticles of different shapes (tetrapods, dots) depending on used stabilizers, precursors and temperature conditions. The resulting nanoparticles can be simply coated with CdS shell "one-pot" by adding of sulphur precursor to the reaction mixture. СdSe and СdSe/CdS quantum dots of 'core-shell' structure or 'gradient alloy' have the quantum yield of luminescence of up to 20%. Product Description popup.authors Єдаменко Д. В. Д'яков М. Ю.
