As a result of a complex study of needle biopsy materials from liver neoplasms there have been revealed cytomorphological and cytogenetic patterns of these tumors which improve the determination of histological types of Liver tumors, which contribute to the refinement of the biological nature of liver neoplasms (benign or malignant), the definition of histological types of liver neoplasms extent malignancy of tumors, their proliferation activity, such approach will increase an efficacy of cytological diagnostics, and will be useful in clinical practice as a way to find an optimal choice for patient's therapy. The determination of quantitative and qualitative cytoplasmic, nuclear, nucleolar features of malignant liver tumor cells (hepatocellular carcinoma) and their background parameters in cytological preparations augments the already known data, allows to ascertain the presence of malignant patterns and to justify a histological type of a neoplasm, the extent malignancy of tumors and improves an efficacy of cytological diagnostics. The performed cytogenetic studies allowed to determine at subcellular level the degree of ribonucleoprotein exchange using the study of high active and low active morphofunctional nucleolar types, what is useful for determination of a character of pathologic process. The results of the studies have been reported on a congress, conferences, seminars, and were published in specialized journals; these results are recommended for the use in cytological diagnostics at different stages of examination of patients with liver neoplasms for more precise determination of a character of pathologic process and better treatment results and prognosis.
