Purpose of research - to explore the features of systemic and local antitumor immune response in skin melanoma patients depending on the presence of the primary tumor ulceration and to determine the immunological criteria of predicting the course of disease to optimize treatment. Methods of research - immunological, flow cytometry, statistics. Equipment: flowing cytometer, centrifuges, pH meter, microscope, thermostats, CO2 incubator. It was revealed that in patients with ulcerated primary skin melanoma peripheral blood T cells proliferation was increased on response to the anti-CD3 and the level of anti-CD3-induced apoptosis was unchanged. Conversely, mitogen proliferative response was un-changed but mitogen-induced apoptosis of lymphocytes was reduced. In patients with nonulcerated melanoma these parameters was recorded on the physiological level but there was an increased percent of regulatory T cells and CD4+CD25+ lymphocytes in the blood. Also, number of T lymphocytes was reduced and number of natural killers was increased in the peripheral blood of patients with ulcerated tumor, but number of B lymphocytes was reduced in patients with nonulcerated melanoma.
