The object of the research consists of modern approaches of interpretation to the principle of supremacy of law and analyses of the possibilities of legal instruments of its'realization improvement in Ukraine. The goal of scientific research paper lies in content characteristics of the worldwide, European Court on Human Rights and Constitutional Court of Ukraine approach to the principle of the supremacy of law, providing research conducted through modern scientific approaches and methods, - on the basis of the analysis of the practice of application of this principle by international - control bodies. The conducted research made it possible to find out actual meaning of the principle of the supremacy of law in the practice of international bodies, such as European Court on human right, bearing in mind the aim of providing correspondence of this principle application in the practice of Ukrainian law enforcing bodies to the interpretation of this principle in the practice of international bodies. Theoretic results of research finds themselves in deepening knowledge of the essence of the principle of the supremacy of law and its international standards and directions of improvement of the state legal means of safeguarding of this principle in Ukraine.
