The purpose of the study is to develop an additional module "Ukraine" for the sectoral Road Safety Management (RSM) database expanding its capabilities to conduct analysis of accident rate on roads of state importance throughout their length; to assess the safety level of the network of roads of state importance within the individual regions; to display the linear distribution of accidents rate for a given period along the road (number of road accidents, dead and injured, distribution of road accident types) for the purpose of centralized traffic safety management and a reasonable planning and the prioritization of measures for improving road safety which is especially relevant in conditions of limited funding. The method of the research is theoretical: the analysis of the structure of the sectoral Road Safety Management (RSM) database; the analysis of methods of evaluation of the road conditions role in the occurrence of road accidents and the choice of the optimal method for implementation in the sectoral Road Safety Management (RSM) database. The scope of the study is planning the measures to improve traffic safety, the establishment of the order of implementation of planned measures and evaluation of the safety level of the network of roads of state importance at the operational maintenance of roads. The results of the study are a new advanced version of the sectoral Road Safety Management (RSM) database with the additional module "Ukraine" which provides an opportunity to analyze the accident rate throughout the route of the roads of state importance and comparison of the safety level of road sections in individual regions is developed and implemented in Ukravtodor. The evaluation of the network of roads of state importance (international, national, regional) by safety level was conducted.
