Based on the findings of clinical, sonographic and MRI investigations the classification of the syndrome of groin pain in athletes was offered. It depended on the location and duration of the pathological process. The classification allow to systematize the data of the syndrome and to recognize the pathological process in a timely manner on this basis to start treatment timely and adequately. The study improved the results of treatment of patients with the syndrome of groin pain in athletes through the use of new methods of conservative and surgical treatment. These methods of treatment improve the effectiveness of treatment of patients with the syndrome of groin pain in atheletes and accelerate their return to sports activity.
