Description

Тhe study involved 100 patients with GERD in conjunction with coronary artery disease and 100 patients with isolated GERD using morphological, histological, immunohistochemical studies of esophageal biopsies, immunoassays and molecular genetic methods. Proved pathogenetic role of violations of the functional state of the endothelium in the development and progression of coronary artery disease on the background of GERD. The character of inflammatory and destructive processes in the mucosa of the esophagus in patients with comorbid pathology. Identified predictors of the risk of erosive reflux esophagitis in patients with GERD when it combined with coronary artery disease. The approaches to the medical treatment of GERD patients in combination with coronary artery disease, taking into account the depth of inflammatory and destructive changes in the mucosa of the esophagus, and endothelial dysfunction.
