Purpose of the research: analysis of the current state of archival affairs and records keeping based on information monitoring relevant to the preparation of scientific-based data to promote the information needs of archivists and the main directions of their activity. Research methods – general scientific research methods: classification; analysis and synthesis; informative; structural-systemic; statistical-analytical, etc. Theoretical and practical results – conducted monitoring and analysis of domestic and foreign information resources on topical issues of archival affairs and records keeping; investigated and analysed regulations on informatization of archives and regulatory support of the scientific and technical documentation processing. Prepared two issues of the Bulletin of the Branch Centre for STI. Novelty of the research: for the first time was prepared the Bulletin of the Branch Centre for STI, which contains analytical, abstract, survey, bibliographic data on informatization of archives and regulatory support of the scientific and technical documentation processing. The scope: The research materials are used in the practice, research and methodological work of archives, universities, research institutions.
