There has been determined the frequency of insulin resistance in patients with thyroid pathology. The morphofunctional characteristics of thyroid and blood fibrinolytic activity in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypothyroidism have been analyzed. There also have been researched the morphofunctional characteristics of the thyroid gland in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus and hyperthyroidism. There have been analyzed the parameters of adipokine profile, lipid panel, insulinemia and the compensation degree of carbohydrate metabolism in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypothyroidism. The parameters of adipose tissue distribution in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypothyroidism have been determined. The assessment of the impact of polymorphism rs1137101 of leptin receptor gene on the development of thyroid pathology in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity has been performed. The effect of metformin therapy on the thyroid functional state in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus has been researched.
