Aim of SRW: to study the main clinical-ethiopathogenic and clinical-psychological mechanisms, regularities, and factors of formation of the minimal brain dysfunction in children and to develop on this basis new technologies of their therapy and medical-psychosocial rehabilitation. Methods of the investigation: observational, interview, clinical-anamnesis, clinical-neurological, clinical-psychopathological, psychodiagnostic, neurophysiologic, electroencephalographic, clinical quantified scale, questionnaire, mathematic-statistical methods. Results: It was proposed the system of theoretical-conceptual statements regarding the leading mechanisms, regularities, and factors of formation of the minimal brain dysfunction (MBD) in children. It was proved that a multimodal complex of neurobiological, genetic, and psychosocial factors, acting predominantly during pre-, peril-, and neonatal periods under conditions of a certain social developmental situation, determined a retardation of neurodevelopment and a diffuse cerebral dysregulation in a child, which resulted in formation of different MBD clinical variants. An efficacy of innovative treatment methods and technologies as well as medical-psychological rehabilitation for these contingents of patients was established, approbate and evaluated.
