The task is to determine the types of motivation sources of nomenclature units for the designation of sweets, analyze parts of speech and syntactic analysis of nomenclature and terminology combinations. The study results allow us to determine the place of common lexicon as a source of creating branch names in Ukrainian language. It is possible to conclude that the current terminology of industry allows the penetration of linguistic units, inherent to oral Ukrainian literary language, because, acting as a contrasting unit against the background of scientific language, conversational elements do not change its overall nomenclatural nature and do not interfere with the perception in the context of industry terminology. Based on the study, it was determined that branch vocabulary is in close connection with common lexicon. Such relationship can generally be assessed as positive, because the ways of that language education affect the process as the emergence of nomenclatures and terminology formation, enriching the world view of an individual.
