Development in Ukraine's own feed industry, specializing in the production of pet food, inhibited the poor quality and lack of variety of domestic animal feed and lack of science-based recipes that meet modern requirements and standards of feeding these animals. In recent years there has been an interest of consumers in the wet food with functional ingredients that increase in drug-free way to the immune system and prevent diseases of pets - dogs and cats. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian food production do not contain such ingredients. One of the research areas was the work on the development of meat and vegetable recipes and moist feed with inclusion in their structure of functional components - nettle and milk thistle to strengthen the immunity of unproductive animals - dogs at rest and study of their physical and chemical properties.
