Methods of estimation of antropogenic fragmentation of nature ecosystems, using indicator species of vascular plants, mosses and birds were selected. Techniques of spatial analysis of fragmentation of ecosystems Ukrainian Carpathians and Western Polissya bymeans of GIS were approbated. Methodological approaches for investigation of sozological issues of fragmentation and approaches for development of activities of fragmentation management on the territories of protected areas were chosen. The investigations of typological changes in diversity and functional role of ground units to evaluate the environmental effects of fragmentation and to find ways for the sustainable functioning of anthropogenic ecosystems have been started. The analysis of spatial-typological structure of bird breeding habitats in different hemeroby classes in a highly fragmented and urban and suburban ecosystems of the city have been started.
