The aim of work is to develop a structure of polymer solar collectors and to investigate their thermal characteristics. Research methods are calculating (thermodynamic and statistical), experimental (basic physical and chemical methods of analysis). The processes of converting solar energy into heat in solar collectors were studied. The design of the polymer solar collector, which as a material that accepts solar radiation, used sorption heat accumulating medium was developed. The mathematical model of polymer solar collectors to determine the optimal thickness of the air layer insulation and solar collector in which managers factors are wind speed and thickness of transparent insulation performance criterion and the efficiency of the solar collector is developed. The rational use of thermal insulation, almost all the investigated solar panels, thickness less than 0.05 m was established. The recommendations on technical parameters of processes occurring in the solar collectors; heat accumulating method of synthesis environments "silica-crystalline hydrate"; heat accumulating material for absorptive accumulation of low-potential heat; construction adsorption chiller were developed.
