The object of the study is mobile means of maintenance and repair of weapons and military equipment (further MMoM&R WME). The aim of the research is to develop basic technical requirements for MMoM&R WME. The analysis of current MMoM&R WME of the Ground Forces of Ukraine and leading countries was conducted; their experience of deployment was analysed. The examination of possible ways of development and principles of constructions of MMoM&R WME was carried out, the main ways of development were outlined, and proposals for the development of promising MMoM&R WME and their configurations were presented. Basic technical requirements for MMoM&R WME have been developed in accordance with research results. The results of this research work can be used when taking decision to start research and development work on the development of promising MMoM&R WME under the State Defense Order or when justifying proposals for the development (revision) of the State Target Defence Program on weapons and military equipment development.
