The studies include both experimental work - a systematic measurements of the spatial distributions of the edge plasma and plasma parameters in the divertor region using a system of mobile probes, and the theoretical part - the calculation of the magnetic field values and the trajectories of the magnetic field lines in the "Uragan-3M" torsatron. Calculations of trajectories were carried out in the ergodic layer of the torastron plasma. The problem was to understand from which region of the plasma the particles come to the system of probes and how many turns the force line is held in an ergodic layer around the confinement volume. A special numerical code was created to calculate the trajectories of the magnetic field lines of the torsatron "Uragan-3M". With the help of this code, the values of the magnetic field and the trajectory of the magnetic field lines intersecting the poloidal section were investigated, where a movable electric probe was installed. During the reporting period, systematic measurements of the spatial distributions of the edge plasma and plasma parameters in the divertor area, such as the floating potential, electron density and temperature, were carried out. The behavior of edge plasma at the initial stage of its formation was studied.
