Object of researches is testing of insulating materials for combustibility with the use of flame ignition sources. The subject of researches is the influence of parameters of flame ignition sources on the values of burning indexes of insulating materials. Methods of researches are the analytical method of researches (analysis of normative documents) and the experimental method of researching of the technical characteristics of flame ignition sources and the influence of their parameters on the values of combustibility indices of electrical insulation materials. As a result of the work, it was performed the analysis of the requirements of European and national standards for test methods of electrical insulating materials with the use of flame ignition sources, the test equipment was created in accordance with the requirements of ЕN 60695-11-3 and ЕN 60695-11-4, experimental investigations of parameters of flame ignition sources with power 50 W and 500 W were carried out, as well as flammability of electrical insulating materials, technical translations of European standards EN 60695-11-3, EN 60695-11-4, EN 60695-11-10, EN 60695-11-20 were made and prepared proposals for national standardization plan.
