The purpose of the study is to develop the national regulations for the replacement of DSTU 2735-94 and DSTU B. V.2.3-9. The scope of the study is construction, operational maintenance of public roads and the roads and streets of settlements, as well as the development of traffic management schemes. The method of research is theoretical. Expected impact is the developed regulations (DSTU) on the requirements of the use of road fences and guiding devices with taking into account the experience of other countries and the requirements of the current regulations. The social and economic efficiency of the development is the reduction of the accident rate and the number of deaths on the roads due to a complex of organizational and technical measures for fencing of dangerous road sections, the improvement of visual orientation in the dark time of day and in adverse weather conditions, the separation of traffic flows in the intersection zone and regulating the pedestrian traffic.
