It was established that the flow part with the external peripheral channel is most efficient, technological and constructively simple; the longitudinal vortex current is the bases in the transfer of energy from the working flow to the vanes of the impeller and the better organized this flow, the efficiency of the machine is high; optimal values of efficiency from a level less than 30% to a level more than 45%. The calculations of the parameters of a vortex expansion turbomachine with a power of 3 kW and a turbogenerator rotor speed of 3000 rpm are fulfilled. The analysis of use as an turbogenerator electromechanical converter of D. C. generators and a three-phase alternating current (un-synchronous generator) is executed. The design documentation for the vortex of an expanding turbomachine, a turbogenerator based on it and on an experimental unit for testing a turbogenerator prototype has been developed. The results of the work can be used in various sectors of the economy and society: the most promising is the use of vortex expansion turbomachines for the creation of low-speed (with a rotational speed of 3000 rpm) turbogenerators and pipelines with relatively low power (up to 500 kW).
