It consists in refining the known approximate solutions by minimizing error components. Making use of the method of functional equations and the analytic regularization procedure, rigorous solutions of new canonical problems of the theory of diffraction of electromagnetic, acoustic and elastic waves on scattering structures comprising edges, apexes and cavities are obtained. By constructing radio wave images, the features of defects such as jamming, fracture and non-adhesive of outer sheathing of structural composite materials have been found. A new class of eddy current probes are created to generate a response signal. The expressions of equivalent value of the coercive force of a ferromagnetic material when it is simulated by three-layer structure for various degrees of magnetization in thickness are analyzed.
