The influence of the structural factor on the processes of deformation (coiling) treatment of the VT22 titanium alloy is substantiated. It is shown that the optimal complex of physicomechanical characteristics ensures the coiling of the VT22 titanium alloy with (alpha + beta) structure. Obkochuvannya alloy with the beta structure is inefficient. It is established that the microstructure of the alloy with the beta structure after nitriding combined with thermal treatment of the alloy is heterogeneous, which makes it unsuitable for deformation-diffusion treatment. In the two-phase (alpha + beta) lamellar structure, as the nitriding temperature increases, the alpha-phase grains coarsen. Therefore, saturation should be carried out at lower temperatures (<840°C), while increasing the time exposure (from 3 to 6 h). The most suitable for nitriding is the globular (alpha + beta) structure due to its high thermal stability compared to the beta or (alpha + beta) plate structure. To obtain a regulated thickness, a nitride film (<5 mkm) with this structure requires high temperatures (> 840°C) and long isothermal exposures (> 6 h) during nitriding combined with heat treatment of the alloy.
