On the example of these crystals, the matrix of piezo- and elastо-optic coefficients of the crystal material of monoclinic syngony were first filled. The anisotropy of the photoelasticity of TGS crystals was studied. An estimation of the acousto-optic figure of merit was made and the effective directions of acousto-optical interaction were determined.
