The results of the research are fundamental and can be used for summarizing ideas regarding the mechanistic relationship between the direction of metabolic transformations and structural and functional changes in an organism. They can also be used in practice to develop new and enhance the effect of existing prophylactic means in toxic lesions and oncogenesis with the possibility of alimentary application of nutritient metabolic forms (retinoids, polyunsaturated fatty acids, amino acids) for selective modulation of metabolic processes in damaged tissues. Conclusions and work positions are recommended for biochemists, molecular biologists, oncologists, pharmacologists and specialists in fields of development of hepatoprotective and antitumor means.
