At the next stage of the work, it became necessary to fill the National Antarctic Data Center, as well as the data storage of Antarctic research data (Antarctic research data, information resources, raw data files and "final research results.") It was estimated that the approximate amount of files with Antarctic research data to date is approximately 25 GB, since the storage should store data brought from all expeditions to the station Akademik (20 expeditions, 2 GB of data from each expedition), as well as data that were collected before 1996 and transferred to the National Institution of the National Center for Science and Technology, and it is necessary to provide for the possibility of the permanent filling of the storage with new data.There is hardware not capable of ensuring the operation of the Antarctic data in full, due to a lack of physical resources for storing and processing all data that should be contained in the Antarctic data warehouse. Such factors make it impossible to bring the results of Antarctic research to the storage facility, for further use by employees of the State Institution of the NANC and related scientific institutions. Thus, the main task of the work was to develop architectural solutions for the infrastructure of the unified information environment of Antarctic research, which will allow physically to realize the preservation of all the accumulations of research results in Antarctica.
